Behold beautiful Barbara!

Her name means "happiness" and
that is exactly what she brought to
millions of love-struck British boys
when she made her grand entrance
on The Good Life . Felicity Kendal,
known as "Foo" to family and friends
kept the male population spellbound
and had been a valid contender of
the most beautiful woman in the
world by popular opinion. So much
so that even her gluteus maximus
won a jeans commercial contest in
  1. Playing the character
"Barbara" on The Good Life, her
cuddly frame, bright smile, and" eyes
that a man could kill over" would have
been sufficiant to qualify her in any
TV show. However, viewers also saw
an actress brought up in the theatre
and displaying exeptional talent far
beyond the requirements needed to
make the Good Life a hit show.
However, her abilities may have been
the reason why The Good Life was a phenomenon. No "butts" about it,
Felicity is fantastic!
Below is a short narration of the life of
the actress that dreams were made of.
Taken from "White Cargo" an autobiography
written by Felicity herself.

Felicity Kendal was born in Olton in Warwickshire by
these two, Geoffery Bragg and Laura Liddell. Geoffery
started as an engineer (the boring kind) . He decided on
acting and met Laura in a Romeo and Juliet play. He
was Romeo and Laura was Juliet (how convienient). They
married and formed their own theatrical traveling company
"Bragg-Liddell" and toured England. Felicity's sister
"Jennifer" was born at this time. When the war started,
Geoffery and Laura joined ENSA and toured India. After
the war Felicity was born and the tour ended. Nine months
later Geoffery formed yet another company and shipped
out back to India with family in tow to start roughly a
twenty year stint doing Shakespeare on the road.

Geoffery and Laura on their
wedding day. They were totally
opposite in character. He was
loud, eccentric and demanded
his own way and she was quiet,
kind and sweet. They however
formed a bond that lasted their
whole lives and beyond.Married
'til death did them part, it was
the one unshakable constant in
their otherwise changing un-
certain lives. Never having had
much money, they were indeed
rich!

you spot her? Hint- She's six years old.
It is NOT the pretty girl in white.
