Filicity's first love was a boy
named "Janis Duler" when she
was at the tender age of four-
teen. It was strictly platonic
in which the boy disagreed with.
Thus commenced Felicity's
first broken heart. She cried for
a week and listened to "Only
The Lonely" Poor Felicity!

Felicity's first movie was
"Shakespeare Wallah" circa
- Felicity was eighteen
and decided to seek her
fortune in England soon after.
This raised the second biggest
disappointment for Geoffery
and the deterioration of the
company was evident. How-
ever, Geoffery and Laura
continued a scaled down ver-
sion of the company for years
after.

Since nobody may know what a "Wallah"
is, I'll tell ya. It's a noun of Hindi origin
meaning "A person connected with a
particular thing or function".

On arriving in England, Felicity went to live with her Aunt Beula in Olton,
the town she was born in. As expected, things were slow at first. Her first
job was a small bit on a television series "Love Story". She had three lines.
The next job was for another TV show called "The Mayfly And The Frog"
where she learned to ride a motorcycle.
Felicity met her first husband in a play called "Gone And Never Called Me
Mother". Felicity Had a Boy "Charley" by this marriage.
Felicity was doing "The Norman Conquests" when Richard Briers asked if she
would look over a script for a comedy show for the BBC. "The show might not
be hugely successful but I think the writing is excellent and it would be fun to
do". She agreed and thus begun the role of "Barbara Good" on "The Good Life"
The four actors worked impressivly well together. Felicity's thinking on this was
that all four were theatre actors and not "Stars". You got to admit, nobody is
famous in a theatre. All four became a household word and the show's popularity
was phenomenal. The biggest problem was telling the lady who lived in the
Good's location house that her garden will have to be plowed under again.
None of the actors were as they portrayed themselves on the show. "Tom"
disliked working with animals, "Jerry" was not henpecked and the first with
the jokes, "Margo" was not bossy and "Barbara" was not a pleasing wife. As the
show skyrocketed, her marriage plummeted into failure.
Thirty episodes in all were recorded. Two specials were that of a Christmas
show and one recorded before Queen Elizabeth II.
Felicity did two more comedy shows "Solo", and "The Mistress". I can't find any
information about these, they must have been flops. She worked again with
Paul Eddington in "The Camomile Lawn". She went back to the theatre and
hitched up with Tom Stoppard. Around this time Felicity re-married and her
sister Jennifer got cancer and passed on. Laura also passed and finally Geoffery.
It appears now that as the final curtain is drawn on "Shakespeareana", so has
the mass popularity of Felicity Kendal. She is now strictly doing theatre and
who goes to that stuff? However, she left a permanent mark on all of humanity
with her quick witted "Barbara Good" and always will be remembered for that.

As the stars come out to play on a quiet night and the twilight of sleep sets
to engulf the dreamer into oblivion, Felicity will reign once again in the
depths of the soul with the wind streaming through her golden hair. Her
beautiful face smiling as a bright spring day. And her eyes, oh those great
beautiful eyes......And Wellies right up to her knees!
